review 1: I honestly love Doctor Who and so when I found out there were books? I freaked out! I am like a high-class dork, so at Barnes and Nobles, I bought this book (I only bought one of the many series in Doctor Who, because I wanted to be inconspicuous, and that I failed at, too) I was so excited! And when I got home to read Divergent and Doctor Who: The Wheel Of Ice, I was rather confused in the book. Maybe it's because I've just started the Classic Who (shame on me) or maybe it was because my attention span is less than ten second so when the boring parts came, I trudged through them; but I was really confused and bored throughout the book. I haven't finished, but I have read quite a bit by now... And I love it! So the beginning is sort of boring, but what books aren't? I thin... morek this book is great!
review 2: This was a very nice book on the original series of Doctor Who with some twists and turns. The themes include: science fiction, and adventure. The Doctor and two other companions find them selves on the ring of Saturn or the wheel of ice, a food source for Earth and a bad place to grow up. They find Phee Laws an interesting teen who helps them get to the bottom of a big mystery, who is showing up around the ring? Phee could represent curiosity and adventure, while the Doctor represents guidance(as he usually does). A nice book, the main antagonist was pretty one dimensional but it was very good apart from that, it's got nice writing and a good mystery. I reccomend this book for anyone looking for a simple mystery with nice characters. less
