review 1: An enjoyable fable about a man named Dave who lives in the orderly tidy place called Here, which considers itself a far cry from the chaos of There across the water. Dave's life is thrust into chaos when a beard starts growing from his chin, resistant to all attempts at cutting and returning to order. More than that, I want to give "The Gigantic Beard that was Evil" to everyone who's afraid of what's out there. And to the ones who aren't afraid, too. Basically I don't think anyone can read this charming piece of darkness and not be enthralled. A 2014 discovery! less
