review 1: After a vehicle explosion injures and kills fellow pupils on a school coach, twins Samantha and James wake in hospital to find they have developed strange abilities. Erie and suspenseful I found this YA book a good read, I only wish the pace could have been a little faster in this first book of the Class Heroes series. A gripping YA fantasy fiction story, I was only sorry that things got even more interesting at the end, but fear not there is a sequel which carries on and I dare think might be more exciting than this first book.
review 2: I was sent this book by the author Stephen Henning to read and review. Book Cover - I liked this book cover except for the part that says "class heroes" I think that really took away from the book cover and shou
... moreld be on the side of the book only so it will be viewed from a bookshelf and only in the case that it would be turned into a series which it has been.* Story - I really enjoyed this story and thought that it had great potential to become a movie. A mishap I found during the story (SPOILER ALERT) is that during all the drama the twin girl Sam's phone gets destroyed and then towards the end of the book Sam & her twin brother James both recieved texts at the same time leaving me going wait her phone was destroyed. That was the only thing I didn't like about the story other than that I loved it * Author - I thought the author was ok. Not my favorite for the fact that in switching back and forth from one scene to another it didn't flow very well and by time you figured out you were in another scene it had already switched back. Character/Relationships - I absolutely loved the twins and their relationship and how they connected with each other. I really felt like I could relate to the thoughts and emotions they had for each other. *Cleanliness - There was some language spread throughout the book. Overall Review: I enjoyed this book and would actually probably read more about these twins. I really enjoyed their relationship with each other. I felt like in spots this book was really action packed but in other spots I felt like it was more magic than super hero powers I guess in the writing. It was a good easy read that I'm glad I was able to review it. less
