review 1: Can economics be considered as cool? A year ago, I would have vehemently denied it (having had to bear the burden of economics in my academics for the first time). But after superfreakonomics (and later freakonomics-the book's prequel)I would have to answer the question with a yes.Indeed the writer duo has done a fabulous job of bringing the fun in economics and presenting it in a lively way. And what examples! You laugh, you grin, and by the time you are finished, you are left wanting for more.Waiting for a third book now :)
review 2: Interesting! This book gave me a lot to think about. I wouldn't recommend it for kids or youth though because of some of the nature of the topics that they are studying. Like prostitution and what drives people to do that type of
... more thing. It didn't have bad language or get nasty with morbid explicit details or anything like that, although I am a very naive innocent person so I had my eyes bug out a few times.. just not something I want my kids thinking much about. Actually that was the only topic that I felt was really touchy. less
