Damen Brook
review 1: I have read the first two books by Steven Dunne, featuring the fantastic Damen Brook, and loved them both but this one is magnificent. I literally could not put this book down, especially the last couple of hundred pages, and was completely and utterly absorbed in the story. When I first started reading it, which I had eagerly awaited after pre-ordering it months ago, I wasn't sure where the story was going and had worked out the perpetrator by mid way through the story, but didn't know how or why the events had / were occurring (I'm being totally cryptic for fear of giving away this wondeful plot). If you haven't read the first two by Steven Dunne, The Reaper and The Disciple which are brilliant books, I would highly recommend you do so as this is fiction at it's very bes... moret. Can't wait for the next book so hurry up and get writing Mr Dunne!
review 2: This was a cracking thriller from start to finish. I loved the character of DI Brooks. He was quirky and funny without meaning to be.The plots of the two crimes were well thought out and kept me gripped right until the end which was not what I expected.I shall definitely look out for further books by Steven Dunne and will also be reading the two previous to this one. A book highly recommended and not to be missed. less
