review 1: This book is very far along in a series so I didn't know the complete background of the main character, Stone Barrington, and didn't understand why, if he was a lawyer, he has so many contacts within the CIA and other government agencies. With all that said the book was pretty good. The chapters were short which seemed to make the book move quickly. The plot was also very fast paced with plenty of twists and turns to the keep the reader going. I'm pretty sure I won't go back and read all of the books in order but I may read others in the series if they seem interesting. 3 stars.
review 2: Stone Barrington is my favourite Stuart Woods character, and his stories never disappoint. This one is no exception. Sure they are over the top, sure they are far fetch
... moreed and a bit beyond belief, but they are interesting and fun. There's always a mystery that needs solving, a crime or two committed and an extravagant lifestyle maintained by the main character. It's what I would only describe as a fantasy crime drama, and a page turner for sure. less
