review 1: Mindless entertainment. If you don't compare this book to Chiefs or any of Wood's first books, it's passable. If you remember Stone Barrington from days of old -- it's another disappointment. Start with a laundry list introduction of characters and plot, cue in some gratuitous political commentary, insert amusing elementary typos "we'll have a lot of made (sic) guys...watching for us" and let the beach reading begin.
review 2: A book that keeps you interested. What new character or plotline will weave its way into the story.A lead character who is a trusted, reliable hero- or is he an accomplice in crimes committed?A moral or legal dilemma? You must be the judge.Either way,its always dangerous when organized crimeand its criminals are involved.Throw in a sitting

I like the series, the characters and story lines. I read each as it is published.

Stone Barrington diverts the minds of readers from the serious side of life.

One of the weaker entries in the series. Glad I got it from the library.
