review 1: This book wasn't very surprising as Stuart Woods seems to have gotten stuck in his writing, using the same formula for his Stone novels. A predictable dose of Knob Creek, Elaine's for dinner, flying and an insane amount of money passing between people with injected scenes of lazy perfect sex and a dead body that no one cares about. But predictable doesn't mean bad, I knew what I was in for when I started the book and I know what I'm in for when I crack the next S.W book.
review 2: Stone Barrington is asked to help Arrington, his ex-girlfriend, with the Centurion where her deceased husband, a famous movie star named Vance Caldwell, had left her his stock. Stone works hard to pull in the votes to save Centurion. He gets involved with high society folks and famou... mores movie stars. He is portrayed as much more mature and business-like more of the time. It was a nice change of pace. less
