review 1: Great book to introduce or review prepositions and prepositional phrases. The illustrations are wonderful. They aren't what I would typically describe as my favorite, but they work very well in this story. I particularly like the illustration of the trail winding around the lake (with the bear, fox, chipmunk and skunk peering over the edge of a hill, looking down on the family on the trail.) The story is pretty simple...a family going camping and all the things they see and places they go.
review 2: Outdoors story for Preschool- KindergartenConcept Book- prepositions. The children are going camping and the author uses prepositions to show how they are going in, on, around, over, under, etc. Overall I liked the story. The illustrations were a bit dark but ... moreshow the forests and trails of a camp ground. Might be too dark for a group read aloud although perhaps you could use it with a visual presenter. The texture and illustrations are great and just seemed to be a book to read one on one to get the most out of it. recommend. less
