review 1: This book is a must read for anyone who had a hard childhood dealing with a mentally ill parent. Many questions are raised from "Is it my fault?" to "Am I going to be ill as well?" This book does not answer these questions as there is no real answer out there. However, this flashback novel does bring in all the elements of growing up in an abnormal household ruled by mental illness. I highly recommend it.
