review 1: Saving Alexander is a very sexy, very raw, and very emotional m/m love story with a thriller thrown in for good measure. As a fan of the m/m genre, I found the story to be very gripping and very satisfying in terms of the heat factor. I read a fair amount of m/m books and I generally find female authors to be a bit less gritty, but I will say the sex scenes in Saving Alexander did not disappoint! The heartbreaking description of Alex's background, from which he tries to find some sort of healing through BDSM sessions, is balanced out nicely by the loving relationship he finds with Sage. There is a suspenseful storyline here along with the very erotic romance between Sage and Alex. The only minor drawback for me was that these two talked A LOT about their relationship and ... moretheir feelings. But overall I really liked this book and found it to be incredibly well written and enjoyable! Definitely a must-read for any fan of m/m books. *ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review*
review 2: This is my first book by this author, I must say , pure joy of reading the story. Saving Alexander is a book about needing to understand that wrong things can be better with the right person and with openness. Alexander had a terrible life experience and his way of coping with it was through S & M ( nothing wrong about it) but Alex went to the extreme because He didn't have , as per him, other ways to cope with the past. Sage is an actor that after auditioning for a TV show series written after Alexander's books is there and ready to work. They become friends , both struggling with desire. Finally they decide to start a relationship but under certain conditions. Sage is extremely patient and does everything He can to help Alexander. After a horrible incident and Alexander's fears resurfacing , the relationship falters. There are a lot external things also happening and influencing them. Alexander is a strong man and decides to ask for Sage's forgiveness. They are back together not without incident.The book is well written , the story is a tale that will make you cry, laugh but most of all will show you , no matter what you can be loved. The secondary characters are well done and add a lot to the story. Saving Alexander is a book that needs to be read and enjoyed. less
