review 1: Toby has had a tough life, his mother died when he was ten and his father died before he was born. Passed from home to home, from one bad family to the next, the foster care system having let him down, he ran away. He eventually catches a break when he goes for a job interview in a hotel and gets the job. Simon saw potential in him and having worked his way up, is now assistant manager. He is openly gay but there are few prospects in the small town. The hotel is getting some refurbishments which are being carried out by two men, Rain and his best friend/co-worker Lucas. There is an immediate spark between Toby and Lucas and the chemistry between the two is almost palpable. As expected, both men have baggage from their pasts which they aren't keen to share, yet their hand... mores are forced when the past comes back to haunt them.Through the course of the story, we see not only their relationship blossom into something much deeper but other sub characters find love as well.I loved these guys together. Amazing chemistry, hot sex scenes, a tiny bit of kink and a few laughs as they seem destined to keep getting caught during their various sexcapades. A really entertaining read, a great story and an HEA. What else could you want.
review 2: Rain and Toby are sexy. They just can't keep their hands off each other. And they each have stuff they need to work out and deal with before their physical relationship can truly move on to a more emotional one. But I love how they always work things out and forgive each other for the dumb stuff their do. This is one couple that is truly meant to be. I felt bad about Simon and was happy to see he found someone. I'd love to read Simon's story. He seemed like a very sweet guy. less
