review 1: Another book I've been trotting around with me for several moves... I think I always thought it would disappoint, but I enjoyed it very much. The story includes many favorite elements (interesting protagonist, beautiful people, lots of dresses, Titanic, ghosts and mediums, London, ocean voyages, sisters, twins, family secrets, science, etc etc). I only started getting irritated at the actual events on the Titanic, when it slipped too far into alternate reality for my tastes. The rest of the made-up stuff involving real people, sure, whatever. But we know (and to some extent, I know myself) EXACTLY what all of those people were doing from about 5 PM on April 14th until 5 AM on April 15th, and you can't make me think they were attending the wedding of two servants. Even thou... moregh I liked reading the ways the author thought of to get the various real passengers involved in the wedding. (I also don't think the wedding dress could have been pulled off like that, even though I lurved the wedding dress, and they had an easier time flitting from first to second to third class and back again than seems reasonable.)
review 2: I loved this book. I saw that it was about the titanic and I was instantly intrigued. I am a fan of the titanic and I was very excited about the book. I loved the story, the characters and everything was amazing. I really loved it, so much. And the ending.... The feels of happiness were overflowing. Anyways, just go and read it. AS long as the whole spiritualist thing doesn't bother you. I don't believe any of it, so I kind of just skipped over it. Either way, if you are a fan of titanic stories, this one is for you. less
