review 1: This novel was all over the place, with Charlie Hood outlandishly dressed sporting a diamond in his tooth as a under cover arms dealer, to Bradley making a pact with a devil? An angel to the rescue, then she leaves before the job of securing Mike is really done? No closure, no clear idea what is going on, and no ending, book stops mid-sentence really, I thought some pages were missing. Generally like T. Jefferson Parker, but this one missed it for me.
review 2: This is my first of the Charlie Hood novels. I have to say that there is real evil in the world. There are demons and angels that walk among us. This is a story about guns, the gun trade, missles and the best and the worst among us. I really liked the storyline, good, evil and guns. There are a lot ... moreof twists and turns, supernatural things and a lot of real life. Sometimes I found a bit out there but definitely readable and realistic. T. Jefferson Parker is definitely an up and coming author with ideas of good and evil with real life twist and turns, the ending was kind of odd. I really enjoyed this book. less
