review 1: My absolute favorite of all her books that I've read, and I think I'm only missing 2. Something about these characters just clicked with me for some reason. A week after reading it while reading something else I still was thinking of them, wanting to go back and visit.Tara has a wonderful way of creating characters that I want to meet and be friends with in real life, they stay with me long after I stop reading whatever book of hers I was reading at the time. She can't write fast enough for me.
review 2: Enjoyable story based (loosely) on Cinderella. It has most of the main elements without the actual fairy wand style magic of the original, but it does have its own type of magic. There is a sort of fairy godfather, a money grabbing mother with two daughters, a
... moremidnight ball, a handsome rich guy Ash, who needs to marry or he loses his inheritance and of course our hero Mark Sinterello ( Sinders) lowly employee but budding fashion designer who works as a cleaner/waiter in the hotel where Ash has come to look for his bride to be. There's also a little bit of girl/girl love included as well but not graphically portrayed, just romantically. Typical Tara Lain. Quirky, sexy and easy on the brain! You can't help but be enchanted by the story and the sizzling romance between Sinders and Ash makes it even more readable. If any complaints to stop it being a 5 star then it would be because at times it felt a little bit twee, but still a good tale with a proper happy ever after. less
