review 1: I was surprised to find out about the wonder that is Sammy and even more surprised by the wonder that is Alvish, but this made for a wonderful read. Tara so perfectly wove a delightful story that had me on the edge of my... well, my bed, because that's where I was reading it. I was on tenterhooks through the whole thing. Growling at characters, gasping, laughing, fanning myself with certain scenes and up until the end I still had no idea how it was going to end (and usually I'm pretty good with that). A delightful, delightful read. I would recommend it to anyone.
review 2: I really loved this sequel to Spell Cat! Sammy was such a sweet character and such a surprise hero in many ways. He was really self-critical and without much confidence in his own abilities b... moreut you had to love him! Ryder was a surprise too! In the first book he appeared obnoxiously obsessed with women's cup sizes but turns out he was covering up a crush of his own on Sammy! It was a surprise to learn what Ryder (formerly known as Alvish) was, I'd had a couple of guesses but was wrong. I was however somewhat correct in my guesses regarding Lucien!It was great to see Sammy come into his own and get his happy ending with Ryder! So happy for them both and one thing's for sure! Ryder gives a whole new meaning to the words sexual healing in this book! I loved seeing some of the others from the first book.I get the sense that Killian and Blaine will be regular's in the series as Aloysius is at the heart of all the tales and his main home is with Killian! I wonder who will be the main character in the next book when it comes outand what the next adventure will be? Can't wait to find out! less
