review 1: Ok....well, I read all the way through the book and I can't find any real reason to add or subtract stars from my average review range. It got me really laughing out loud in places, but never when MLP was mentioned and that was my original draw to the book. I can't say that it is a book that I would recommend to those around me that are into MLP as it doesn't really give me this warm fuzzy that the author really understands what it is like to be a Brony. As someone who goes to BronyCon year after year myself, this description of it seemed, well, off. It was treated like a carnival event in the book and not the full convention experience that it is. When I go to BronyCon, I cos-play as DJ Pon3, and my favorite character from the show is Discord. The author never identi... morefies Tyler's favorite pony and that is something every Brony talks about in relation to themselves. Everyone has a Mane Six and a support character favorite and the fact he does not obsess over it is an incomplete assessment of his character building. Also, what the heck was that costume supposed to be at the end? Pinkie Pie wearing Rarity's boots with Rainbow Dash's tail? Yep, the MLP portion just doesn't seem developed at all to me. Favorite part was that Gavin stopped believing in Santa because he thought there was some serious labor issues if Santa didn't offer a 401K....now that was funny to me.
review 2: oh yeah this is very entertaining :D ! i really enjoyed reading it because it was totally unpredictable for me ! i thought it would just be very funny all the time but yeah i'm wrong hahaha ! It was funny and cheesy, too with the concept of having a total bitch fall for a total idiot and vice versa ! i never expected it to end that way and it was kinda great to be able to read something about Bronies , too . i heard about them on the net one time and i just thought that they are some guys who are crazy about My Little Pony but then i knew that they are kinda having something real behind all of it . i really love this book so give it a try :D !!!! less
