review 1: Shame on Him by Tara Sivec is an awesome read and it is hilarious! From the beginning you will like Lorelei's book, she has the last book of the group in this series, but not any less enjoyable than the others. Lorelei has always been the good girl, the girl that went to college, the girl who did everything she was told without questioning it, the girl who is a lawyer. She even got married like she was expected to even though she wound up divorcing her husband as he was gay! Lorelei is also the 3rd member of their investigation team, Fool Me Once Investigations, which she loves and her parents know absolutely nothing about.This book, like the first two were well written, had a great plot and all kinds of angst, as well as hilarious dialog, and there are some nice sex and r... moreomance scenes as well. And what book would be complete without a rival- Dallas! He gets the case she wants Her opinion of Dallas was: "a Neanderthal and an arrogant jerk. It also doesn’t help matters that he’s entirely too good looking and knows it–over six feet of pure muscle and brawn with tattoos up and down his strong arms, short, messy, dark brown hair, and light gray eyes.” And despite Tara not wanting to admit it she liked this Neanderthal! Read this book and watch how they all solve a mystery together while at the same time engaging in some other things as well!I love how this book ended but also how it tied all 3 of the books together, and you will have to read the book to find out what happens! Get this book and you will be glad you did.I gave the book 5***** stars!
review 2: I like the short shorter format for this story. It is another novel and I like that it is less over the top than its predecessors. Of course, that impressioned lessened once her mother started to loosen up. You just couldn't let one pass by. Overall, I think the book was entertaining. The story follows Lorelei and Dallas. Lorelei is the more conservative partner of the FOM business. She is conditioned by her parents to act in a certain way and this is her story of breaking out of that. She is a lawyer but finally makes the leap to be a private investigator openly. Her love interest is Dallas, who is commissioned to solve a murder case. She inches her way in the investigation and stumbles into a few near death situations. While they agreed to share the case, they did not stop to get ahead of the other should the chance present itself. Dallas and Lorelei start out with real dislike for each other. It eventually gives away as Lorelei started to let her hair loose. They have sex and eventually fall in love. less
