review 1: Stunningly bright, beautiful photographs of gorgeous produce as well as of included recipes is just one of the many things I love about this book...the recipes are excellent and unpretentious. The small 'factoids' throughout the book are helpful to novice cooks as well as the more seasoned home cooks unfamiliar with a particular fruit or vegetable. The Inclusion of a section on how to buy and handling/cooking techniques as well as both American/Metric measurements is always helpful. This would be a wonderful gift for new cooks and a great reference to add to an established cookbook collection! Really, really lovely!

... more, I loved this cookbook. I have many cookbooks for whipping up things from Farmers' Markets, but this is clearly one of the most unusual ones. The cookbook was loaded with pictures of completed recipes which laid out how the dish was supposed to look, plus really nice definitions/varieties of the foods. less
