review 1: I really enjoyed this story. It had an interesting set of characters and threw you into the action very quickly. I gave it 4 stars simply because it ended so quickly. I understated the idea of leaving a reader wanting more but it seemed to me that this first version ended in the middle of a conversation. I do want to read the other stories in this series because I must know if Anders ever got control of his magic.
review 2: I enjoyed the tale itself but had problems with the Authors inability to decide if the character was in the present tense or the past tense. There were times, in the same sentence, where the character was taking in the now and it would switch to past tense. As I said, the tale itself was fairly good so if you can get past the aforementioned
... moreproblems, it is a worthy read. Even with that said, I would read more of his tales and hope he puts the problem to rest in future endeavors. Recommended for older teens and adults.[[ASIN:B006XXHQLY Sword Bearer (Return of the Dragons)]] less

Clever and intriguing, Sword Bearer is a welcome addition to the ranks of light-hearted fantasy.

Absolutely no sense of resolution. I feel like I've read a third or less of the story.

Great introduction to what promises to be a great series.
