review 1: From the first sentence the book instantly grabbed my attention, what a way to get ahold of the reader. Found myself not able to put the book down as the story got farther down into the plot it got more interesting and I found myself at the edge of my seat. This story was written very well, with a great plot and a good twist. The more you read into the book the more interesting and intense it becomes. The characters were well developed. Overall I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading many more.
review 2: I enjoyed reading about the cases involving children, and the mystery plot was full of twists and turns. The twist at the end was a big surprise, but there were questions left unanswered. At the beginning, it seemed John recognized his killer as someone
... morefrom his past. But the man had supposedly been John's friend, even though there was no explanation about how they knew each other. If John recognized him at the time of the murder, why not earlier? Although I was left with that nagging question, I liked the book a lot. less
