Science of Discworld
review 1: Unlike the first three Science of Discworld books, this seems to have more to say about what science is, rather than giving examples of scientific observations, theories, refutations and current laws. Thus it's more the Philosophy of Science of Discworld, which does not lessen the book, to my mind. The Discworld snippets form a short story with several key Discworld elements present: the wizards, and wizzard, Vetinari, the Omnians, including Pastor Oats, and members of the Watch.

... moreevious books, with the Pan Narrans comments starting to grate a little. That said, there is some new content which continues to be nicely explained - the section towards the end with the rod and knife balancing in particular was well done. There are probably better Popular Science books out there, but if you're a solid Pratchett, Cohen or Stewart fan it's certainly worth a look. less

Loved it. Very enlightening, if somewhat difficult at times. Enjoy spotting the H2G2 references!
