review 1: This is a really warm-hearted story about Eden, her love of family, and the summer job being a companion to Finley King that changed her life. There is romance, between Eden and Finley's brother, Jude. There is humor. There is a LOT of family love. But the main focus of this story is about friendship, and how sometimes you just "click" with ppl, and how that can make your life better.
review 2: I'm not sure Tess Oliver has written a book I haven't loved! I really enjoyed this one. Eden is a fantastic character, she's bright, funny, so understanding of her too young parents, and at times it feels like the roles are reversed.Finlay is one depressed girl, but it seemed that Eden was slowly making progress with her, drawing her out of her comfort zone literal
... morely one step at a time. There's a lot of quirkiness in this book, the pet pig being one example. It's a huge contrast between the life Eden is used to and the lifestyle Finlay has known. I suppose I thought Finlay, being a rock stars daughter, would be bratty and bitchy but she's so not, she's sweet and disturbed, and has her funny little ways. I particularly liked her take on Voodoo dolls.Life isn't fair, it's especially unfair to Eden, but she just takes it in her stride, picks herself up and carries on. If anyone deserves a happy ever after it's her, but you'll have to read the book yourself to find out if she gets one. less

Well, this was pretty squeaky clean with the fade to black sex scenes.
