review 1: This book is listed in the crime/mystery genre. However instead of getting crime-solving action, the book is more invested in Sophie dealing the tragedies after tragedies. Which, I have to say is not a bad thing at all. Mina's death triggered the story and it gave chances more onto the emotional effect toward Sophie. I like it though. This broken soul-tragic loss plot is really good so I don't mind much about the missing nancy drew-esque plot.
review 2: This book goes in between present and past. When I was reading this book I was like to my friend, "This book is not about LGBTQ." And guess what? It was... I must have jinxed it, I don't mean I anything against that, it's just it was half that and half mystery so I'm not sure which I was suppose to focus on... I
... moren the book, Sophie tries to choose in between Mina and Mina's brother Trevor. I suppose this book is between coming out of the closet and just hiding and pretending she was normal. Mina tried to pretend so... but in the end she couldn't fake her emotions for Sophie. Not such a hard mystery to solve because there wasn't that much people to choose out of. Pretty good book in the end, I'd give it 3.75 Stars. less
