review 1: Absolutely delightful! Tessa Dare's debut novel, one that was written a gazillion years ago, and I can't believe I'm just getting to it. Historical romance is all about the heroes, but suffice to say, Lucy Waltham is on my favorites list.Jeremy Trescott, the Earl of Kendall is roused in the middle of the night by a knock at his door, and soundly kissed. The culprit is his best friend's younger sister, Lucy Waltham, who wants to 'practice' a little before the main event with Sir Toby. Toby, a part of the boys' quartet, and the object of Lucy's unrequited affections, is due to propose to Miss Sophia Hathaway. Lucy plots to seduce Toby before he can pop the question, and make him hers.For Jeremy, Lucy has been the bane of his existence all the autumns the boys quartet had spe... morent at Waltham Manor. A gangly chit who used to tag along with them to their escapades, has grown up to be a carefree immature girl with no sense of social decorum. The boys indulge her as they would a younger sister, but Jeremy realizes that he can't let things out of control.But that one kiss has forever changed Lucy and Jeremy's relationship. He suddenly sees her in an entirely new light, and wants more even though she's firmly set on her path. For Lucy, her stolen moments with Jeremy have made her inconveniently aware of him. She believes her tutorials with him are a stepping stone to Toby, however with the rest of the boys in on her intentions, the tables are turning against her.Goddess of the Hunt is an effervescent, charming debut with witty prose that keeps you hooked till the very end. What I loved was that even though a lot of HRs talk about heroines being 'hoydens', this is the one that went behind the scenes to show us Lucy's mischief. She is sly and determined, her madcap scheming keeps the boys on alert all day long. Lucy is someone you'd love to have as a friend, to gossip and laugh all night long at her escapades. And Jeremy...! The center stage is definitely Lucy's , but he acts as a perfect partner to her. From his early staid, exasperated, take-charge-of-her intent to the way he can't help falling for her, and when he realizes his noble intentions have made the biggest mess of all. Ever read a book which you couldn't get enough of? Ms. Dare..A superlative debut, as she joins my list of all time HR authors.
review 2: เรื่องนี้ในต้องแรกสนุกมากกกกกกก ชอบมากกก แบบลูซี่ยังไม่ได้รักเจเรมี่นะแต่เธอชอบยั่วให้เขาโมโห หาเรื่องแกล้งเขาได้ตลอด~ มันเป็นความสนุกอย่างหนึ่งของเธอ~พระเอกก็อับจน~ โดนยั่วเข้ามากๆ หน้ามืด ซึ่งทั้งคู่แต่งงานกันกลางเรื่อง โดนที่เข้าใจผิดๆ แต่ลูซี่หลงรักเจเรมี่ไปแล้วแต่ทั้งคู่ก็ทะเลาะกัน เข้าใจผิดกันทั้งคู่ เจเรมี่เองก็มีความทุกข์เรื่องพี่ชาย กับแม่ ทำให้เขาห่วงลูซี่ทุกอย่างลูซี่ก็ไม่ยอมแพ้ต่อต้านทุกเรื่องที่เจเรมี่ไม่ยอมให้ทำ~สรุปว่าสนุก~ ชอบลูซี่~~ เธอสุดยอดจริงๆ~ less
