review 1: I loved the first story by Tesssa Dare. I though it was just delightful and loved the HEA. She was the author I bought the book for, so I wasn't disappointed. I haven't read any of the other three authors before and don't have any plans to read anything else by them. The LaValle and Milan stories were just ok and I thoroughly disliked the Baldwin story. I hate to give this anthology just a low 2 star rating when I loved the Dare story, but overall, the book was just ok. I don't know how the stories for these anthologies are chosen, but I thought these stories were a poor fit for each other.
review 2: Four short stories. The three regency-era stories were fine. I am rating this book much after the fact, and the Courtney Milan one is the most memorable of the gro... moreup. I normally don't read much contemporary, and that's what the last story is. The contemporary suffers from a whole "doctor and librarian decided not to get the police involved" story line that is just not my cup of tea. Still, well written for what it was. less
