review 1: Igual que el anterior, este libro me encantó. Tal vez su comienzo es lento y es sólo un recuento de los días de Mab y Will, pero está muy bien.Cada frase del libro es tan poética y la magia tan oscura, prohibida y llena de sangre. Debe ser lo que más me atrae de esta autora. Pueden llamarme freak!Las cartas de Evie desde el pasado, al igual que las de Josephine en el libro anterior, son un recurso genial y que me encantó volver a encontrar. Tessa Gratton tiene una facilidad para meterse dentro de los cuerpos de sus personajes, incluso de los cuervos y animales del bosque, hasta las plantas.Se pone muy bueno al final, con la aparición de Gabriel, revelando por fin el misterio de esos rosales. Y las frases del final me dejaron con un nudo en la garganta, simplemente ... morepor la belleza que tienen.Más que recomendado.
review 2: The Blood Keeper was a good book. At the start of the book it was a bit slow and around 200 pages in I was contemplating if I should put it down and start up another book or go through with it. In the end I finished and I'm glad because it gives you those thrills and chills by the end.I thought although the romance between Will and Mab was a bit late and boring at first the true romance I felt was between Arthur and Evelyn in the letters that she writes to him in her confession.The storyline between Will and his family was a nice touch as they have a lot of ups and downs in it just like a real family.My one main concern with this book though was that it got so confusing at points. Like when Lukas has the black rune on his back, it is never explained why his father did it and who his father was. I found that a bit annoying.I also found it frustrating when the story didn't follow Silla and Nick anymore form the first book. Although Tessa Gratton still included them as minor characters I saw little of them in the book. In saying that though I liked will and mab,if anyone else was the two main characters I would've shut the book and that would've been that!Overall I liked it. I would recommend this book to anyone who had read the first as the storyline is pretty good! With new characters and old ones, villains from the past and present. I give this book 3 stars. less
