review 1: This book had me laughing from the very start. I can really hear my cat saying/thinking the same things as Max. I absolutely loved how Max told his story and how he did his matchmaking. I could really relate to all the characters in this book. It is very well written and I enjoyed the romance in addition to the mystery. You don't have to love animals to love this book. I look forward to reading more by this author!! A side note - the book set I have has this pic as the cover, I have seen a different cover for this book and it doesn't give it justice. So the saying goes: Don't judge a book by it's cover!!"I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own. It was read as part ... moreof the Must Love Pets: A Romance Boxed Set"
review 2: Despite the high ratings I was not impressed with this book. To me, it was silly almost to the point of being stupid. It was seriously lacking in the romance dept. I really didn't connect with any of the characters nor did I care about them.Overall, it was a quick read. It was very predictable with a lot of unbelievable things happening. This book needs a lot of fleshing out. I am glad that it was a kindle freebie as I definitely would not have paid for this. Not recommended. less
