The Forsaken
review 1: It's not often that I give up on a book, entirely. When I do, it's because I simply can't take whatever's bothering me, anymore. Back in the days before my Kindle, that meant I would sometimes throw the offending book across the room. Unfortunately, I couldn't do that with this book, because it was loitering on my beloved Kindle like a greasy fart lingers in the air. I dispatched it, tout de suite. This book might be wonderful to others who don't care about sentence structure, passably believable character logic, and so on. I care about those things (and more), so this book wasn't for me.
review 2: I didn't know what to make of this book. The cover screams cheesy YA novel and the title invokes snow white, neither of which are particularly appealing to me
... more. The reviews however kept piling up on the positive side and none of them revealed any of the previously mentioned concerns so I decided to give it a shot. I've been on a mind candy binge lately and this seemed to fit what I was craving. This book really hit the spot... like only a possessed murderer that doesn't let being on fire get in the way of a good murdering can. Warning: This is not a stand alone book, the ending is a cliff hanger. less

Liked the whole book, but ending was too bizarro.
