review 1: This was a satisfying conclusion to the series as there is finally a closure to the love triangle. I think that the series could be shortened to 3 books instead of 5 as I found it frustrating that Kathleen’s emotions kept oscillating between Blane and Kade throughout the series. Though she started as a naïve and angelic girl, she became very greedy (emotionally) and wanted both guys to herself. In this book, at least she was less reckless and less prone to putting herself in dangerous situations. Also, she showed some backbone in trying to build a life for herself back in her hometown. I enjoyed the angst between her and Kade.
review 2: The guy i was rooting for got the girl but this book missed what almost every book in this series has been so generous in ... moregiving- character developement. I wanted to know what kathleen and kade talked about in the hospital room specifically: i wanted dialogue. This was the big moment for kade to open up more and not be such a mystery. I wanted him to become less guarded. As always i loved Blane and feel like this book did him justice in both his ending and his growth as a believable character. Overall i am happy with the conclusion of this story but wish i could have seen a tad bit more vulnerability and dialogue and less sex scenes. less
