review 1: Well, as a huge fan of The Diary of Wimpy Vampire (Wimpy Vampire #1), I was a little bit disappointed with the sequel, Prince of Dorkness. I was expecting more from this book! But everything that I like from the prequel, was gone in this book. Nigel became maturer, Chloe became so annoying, Nigel lose his power, no heroic moments, and some new characters that I don't really like.I don't like the idea about how Chloe broke up with Nigel and suddenly she was in relationship with Jason, the new student. And I was really, really disappointed when Chloe transformed into a werewolf! It means that Nigel and Chloe couldn't be a couple anymore... In fact, for me what is the most interesting thing about the prequel that makes me wanted to read the sequel so bad is the super cute love... more story about Nigel and Chloe, but the fact that Chloe and Nigel couldn't be a couple anymore in the Prince of Dorkness slapped me so hard. But I think it was cool when Nigel's family caught Chloe hid in Nigel's house when she transformed into a werewolf during the full moon. I don't really like the sequel, because I was disappointed a lot. But it was not bad, the story was still light and funny. And there were many exciting scenes here.
review 2: Book Review: Prince of Dorkness: More Notes from a Totally Lame VampireTim Collins #review2014Prince of Dorkness: More Notes from a Totally Lame Vampireby Tim Collins (Author)EbookWith his newfound vampire powers and his girlfriend Chloe, Nigel Mullet is finally happy and popular as the new school year begins. But then a new guy, Jason, appears at school. All the girls think he’s better looking than Nigel. He’s definitely stronger and faster than Nigel. And he’s just stolen Nigel’s girlfriend. What’s a totally lame vampire to do? Write bad poetry, get regularly beaten up by his little sister now that he's too weak to retaliate, and spy on hisex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend. . . . Eventually Nigel follows Jason and his family to the park in the middle of the night and is stunned to see them all transform into werewolves. Will the truth win Chloe back? Or will Nigel be left howling at the moon in frustration?ReviewNigel is back with his vampiric powers. At least for a bit until he loses them again. Then gains them again. He has his girlfriend, then loses her, then makes friends with her. A whole new community of beings is introduced and that complicates matters even more for Nigel who, as usual, has almost no confidence in himself at all. Nigel is struggling with the decision of turning Chloe into another vampire. But when she becomes obsessed they decide to call it quits. They are brought together again when something truly surprising happens.Light reading and good comedy book from Tim Collins. I found it very funny about how he described the world of vampire in a diary.Again there's a lot of humor in the book. There are so many times I read this book and giggled away, you will too.For me the best part was being introduced to Grandpa. He had me laughing more than any other character. This was a cute book. I do want to read more by this author.I would highly recommend this book to any paranormal, vampire and comedy fansMy rating 3/5 stars less
