review 1: A well-written and entertaining instalment in the 'Leroy' series by T.L. Haddix. The romance is again very entertaining and the characters are well-developed. Love that we continue to interact with characters from previous books and see what they're up to. Mystery wise, I would suggest this is the weakest of T.L. Haddix storylines - the perpetrator came completely out of left field and I felt a bit disappointed because the character is a recurring one - and the one I'd least expect to be the bad guy. Despite that, this book comes highly recommended to lovers of romance and small-town mysteries.
review 2: Really enjoyed this 3rd book in the series. I'm now used to the characters and invested in them. I like the way the author has a focus on a different set o... moref folks from Leroy in each book but still has others we met previously in the current story. This book had a strong mystery ... thought I had it all figured out and then I was surprised when the serial killer was revealed. As always, there is also a dose of someone finding love in the midst of turmoil ... not enough to classify it as a romance novel ... more of a mystery with a touch of relationship thrown in. less
