review 1: This one really resonated with me. I got rid of my car a few years ago, but I've had periods of commuting that correspond unfortunately too well with Kaczynski's vision. I'm a cynic who loves graphic novels and architecture, and often worry about the apparent downward spiral of society centered around consumerism and selfishness--so you can see how this book, for me, has particular appeal. But I think lots of different people should read it, because he makes accessible some pretty heavy ideas that may provoke some changes in folks' way of engaging with each other and the environment around them.
review 2: First let me say that the artwork was enjoyable and well done. The book as a whole had some problems though. But perhaps I just need to give it second go. It
... moreoften seemed more like the illustrated journal of someone who has a vivid imagination but a hard time articulating a coherent message or feeling. Very non-linear which at times is interesting and at other times just annoying. Had some great moments and other moments where I felt the stories just felt like a sip of stale, flat, and warm beer; that is to say kind of disappointing. Still I suppose it was something Kacyzynski did put a lot of time/thought/energy into and deserves a read. less

Nothing in this graphic novel is as clever as the author thinks it is.

The most interesting thing about this book was the title.

Beautifully executed- not to mention astute and funny.
