review 1: Best book of the Victor series. The plot is very intricate, dropping enough clues along the way to help the reader predict how it's going to come together. Could have done without the last page of the book. Seemed like it was an afterthought and the author felt it necessary to tie-up loose ends, when the book was fine without it. Also, the whole Iceland safehouse didn't really seem necessary...perhaps it is setting up the next book in the series. But overall, I thought it was a great read and look forward to the next one.
review 2: I received this book from goodreads' giveaways. I read the author's previous book to this one, "The Enemy" and I like Victor, the character the series revolves around. Even though this is the 3rd of a series, I feel like they can be ... moregood standalone novels. There are some parts that it helps to have read the other books, but it doesn't detract from the storyline. If you like James Bond, Jason Bourne, then I suggest you check out this novel, it's in a similar vein. less
