review 1: J'ai beaucoup aimé ce livre, mais j'ai eu un problème frustrant. N'étant pas satisfaite de la traduction, je me suis procuré aussi l'original anglais. Je me suis retrouvée à me promener entre les deux, car l'original était parfois trop compliqué pour moi et la traduction laissait beaucoup à désirer. Le traducteur a mal compris le sens de certaines phrases et laisse même parfois tomber des éléments. Je grince aussi des dents lorsqu'un malfrat texan dit des choses comme : «Tralala, tu m'en diras tant.» (Traduction de... «How-dee-doo»...). Et devinez comment la traductrice (Isabelle Chapman) a rendu «HoofuckinHAHH! the guy said. Jeez, that was great!» Eh oui, «Booordel de merrrrde! C'était génial!» Soupir... Alors bien sûr, si vous comprenez suffisamm... moreent ce genre d'anglais, lisez plutôt l'original.
review 2: I really enjoyed the book, in fact I found it hard to put down. I thought the story line was very engaging, and the characters well developed. Biscuit and LA are both very believable characters that were raised in disfunctional homes. The addition of the "second sight" that Biscuit possessed added an even more interesting element. I would recommended it! In fact if there was a 4.5 I would probably rate it that way. less
