review 1: Chloe Nichols has always felt as if she had no family. With her parents dead and her sister enstranged, she has only had her good freind Alice to call family. Until recently when, through Alice's magic, she learned that she is one of Alice's long lost gypsy cousin. Along with that she finds that she has the potential to be one of the many women to possess special gypsy magic. Her new-found cousins (Alice and her sister Elizabeth) have wished the magic on her, but it doesn't seem to be taking hold. Worried that she'll be the first that the magic doesn't take to, she decides to turn her attention to her somewhat anemic love life. And to do this she convinces Elizabeth to bake a magic cake to get her on-again, off-again boyfreind, Kyle, to say yes to marriage. Of cours... moree magic is never that easy. Especially when you realised that Elizabeth only said yes because the magic Chloe was afraid she didn't have was in fact working perfectly. Too perfectly. Kyle says yes. But only after Alice tells Chloe that Kyle isn't the man she's suppose to marry. Enter the dashing Ben, who accidentally walks into Chloe's store to buy something he doesn't really need on a whim he choses to follow. More than magic seem to be drawing them together, but with Chloes sudden drunken addiction to using magic, can she ever really know if Ben likes her for her? And what to do about Kyle? It doesn't help when a mysterious girl shows up asking for help and Chloe finds the girl linked to Ben in some way.It's a tidy little mystery and a tangle of wonderful magic. I have enjoyed all three books in this series and look forward to more.
review 2: Chloe wants to find her true love and she wants to find him now. She's become a bit obsessed about it. With a boyfriend that doesn't believe in true love or soul mates it has been kinda hard. She is through with waiting and isn't above using magic to get want she wants. With a little help from her new family she hopes her dreams will become reality.This book is the third installment in the Magic series. With each book it's always a new magic or talent and with each book the stories get better and better. I've always considered the first book, A Taste of Magic to be my favorite. But really each book has something special that I've really liked.A Breath of Magic is a fantastically fun read, full of twists that will delight the reader. The gypsy magic is charming as ever. The story is emotional fueled, that you might want to have some tissue close at hand when you read it. At first I wasn't sure I was going to like Chloe, but she did grow on me. There were times when you just want to shake her, but she turned out to be a very lovable character. While every girl's journey in this series, has been difficult in it's own way. I think Chloe's has been hardest. But when all is said and done the emotional roller coaster both she and her true love went through is very much worth it in the end. This is one I would definitely recommend, especially for the true romantics out there. less
