review 1: I love these books. While the beginnings don't always seem promising and there are some typos, plot holes, and confusing word choices I still can't resist these books. I adore the brothers, the girls are believable characters with real conflicts, and the love is mesmerizing. I can not wait for the next book! At this point I don't know who I love more Ajax or Kyros. The love in both books is a bit of a mix of christianity with accents of mythology. I don't know about anyone else but the forbidden love between Jax's parents and then the hidden life on Kyanos seems similar to a greek mythology style. I really hope that the next book is either about Denys or Titus. While I realize it will probably be about Phoenix I can always hope! Faegen best be writing ... morefast!
review 2: Bravo! One of my favorite things to see in an author is the evolution of technique and a movement towards better quality writing. Ms. Faegen impressed me not only with her richer characters and romantic dynamic, but with her ability to make me care for her characters. Having read and enjoyed The Mephisto Covenant, I was very pleased to see that her writing is only getting better. I was doubtful that she would be able to make this redemption different enough from Ajax's, but was happy to see that in creating a new dynamic between the Anabo and her "son of hell" the author created a fresh and thoughtful interpretation of what it means to love. I am eagerly awaiting the next redemption! less
