review 1: September 2013: 5 StarsThe plot thickens! Although the introduction of a new villain is an old trick in the manga world, Misa is so different a villain that we can't help but wonder about her. And her relationship with Rem is bizarrely intimate compared to the bond between Light and Ryuk.Is it bad that I found Light's manipulation of Misa... kind of cool? I know! I know! It's a horrible thing to do to a girl, but it's so true to his character, that I couldn't help but admire it.That's one thing I like about Light. He's so unforgiving, so cold, so heartless. I've never met a villain who was practically inhuman, he was so unforgiving. Usually, after meeting a sweet girl, or an odd, kind guy who declares you to be his first friend, the villain would tend to soften. But nope! ... moreNot Light! Even though he's sworn to kill all the members on the task force, as soon as L is dead, not once did he mention sparing his own father. So we can assume that he has every intention of killing him too. Which makes sense, because if Yagami-san were the only one to survive, it'd be obvious who Kira is.Anyway, the final development in the book is very surprising. What is Light plotting? What happened in the woods after Light returned Misa's DeathNote to Rem? WHAT'S GOING ON?!?{I must find the fifth volume, or the black edition with volumes 5 and 6... *mutters plots*}
review 2: This fits into A fantasy booki actually read the "deatnote" , this book is more of a guide line rather than a story , but i still enjoyed very much.This book "deathnote" is a book of death as quoted in the first page "the humans name who is written in this book shall die" . Deathnote was a jappansese legend , that was then written into a story , then later in to a world wide popular anime.i enjoyed this book alot , espesially the idea of being able to control some one elses life , in this one book , i also liked how in the book , one of the main characters L controlls his own life , by writing his own name in the deathnote on a further date , meaning he cannot die untill then.i would recommend this book to boys and girls aged 12 and above. less
