review 1: This was a very touching story. On one side you have a man dealing with family rejection due to being gay. He wants to get to know the little brother he is forbidden to see so he decides to get involved in a sport his brother competes in. The other side you have a former athlete who loves the sport but can no longer compete and afraid to have the surgery to help keep him involved in the sport. Together you have a trying relationship. The question is can they muddle through together. I loved the story and the characters.
review 2: This was a terrific book! Great characters, so romantic & sexy, full of feelz & real life based conflicts, but not straying too far into actual angst. And there was just so much sweet affection between the two main characters, my fav... moreorite thing ! Also, I knew next to nothing about the sport of wakeboarding before reading this, but I’ve since watched some video & it’s both a fantastically exciting & beautiful sport to watch! Like all the best aspects of surfing, water skiing & snowboarding combined. This book did a great job of describing the action sequences & capturing the excitement of the sport. Loved it! less
