review 1: I received this book via VanitaBooks and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Birds of a Feather is a book of idioms and drawings depicting the meaning behind the idiom. This book would be great for both children and people who may be learning the English language. The drawings overall are well done, and I found most everything appealing. The idiom itself is noticeable on the page, but in the bottom corners, upside down you will find an explanation and example sentence explaining in further detail. Some of the sentences I felt weren't quite right, but overall both explanations and sentence examples were helpful. I can see teachers and parents alike have a lot of fun with the book for their children. Definitely will be a book I recommend at the library. review 2: I love that Birds of a Feather combines "idioms and silly pictures"! When you really think about it, the English language has some bizarre sayings. The creators of this picture book do a wonderful job of collecting some of the silliest and pairing them with incredible artwork. The illustrations are full double-page spreads that are incredibly colorful and hilarious! If a reader wants to go beyond just the idiom itself then flip the book over and in smaller type is a brief definition as well as a sentence using the idiom properly. Yet another bonus is a more in-depth discussion of idioms found at the end of the book. less
