review 1: I always love travel-the,ed novel, and this book is one of the best. It's not centralized on the destination, but rather on its interesting characters and their stories. I just couldn't put it down until I finished and leave you wanting to read more about them. Also love the descriptive way used by the author, it's flowing and very easy to read. Every characters have their own portion and you can't really wait to see what's gonna happened next. I'd definitely put a journey with the Orient Express on my bucket list!
review 2: This book follows the stories of five groups of people travelling on the Orient Express from London to Venice. It is well written and easy to read and would make a great holiday read. However I did find it rather lacked
... moresubstance and a lot of story lines were not properly explored and left me wanting to know more. The conclusions were sometimes a bit too neat and not very convincing. There is a sixth associated story line concerning a romance spanning some forty years which is much better developed and more satisfying. The descriptions of both the Orient Express and Venice are very well done. less
