review 1: "A Glimpse of Evil" is the eighth book in the Abby Cooper Psychic Eye Series by Victoria Laurie. Abby and Dutch move from Royal Oak, Michigan to Austin, Texas to work for the FBI in the new Cold Case Squad office. This brings Abby and Dutch back together with their friends Candice and Brice along with Dave the builder. Abby uses her psychic talents as a civilian profiler to see which cold cases are solvable and to meet the quota of 8 solvable cases. She comes across a pattern that a serial killer may be at work and that brings her into danger on numerous occasions in this story. Candice and Abby investigate to try and put the clues together to solve the crimes. There is lots of action - some believable and some not so believable. Great story overall and gives a lead up to ... morewhat is probably book nine in this series.
review 2: This book had a lot of twist and turns and a fairly surprising unraveling. Abby and Dutch team up this time to go undercover to help their government retrieve something stolen from them. But are things really as they have been told.... can they hold it together being their new identities and pretending that they are nothing to each other but business partners? And can Abby's attraction to to the evil man that can get them where they have to be, be a sign that maybe her and Dutch don't belong together.... IF they get out of this alive?Not a bad book, had some fun with the characters and the way the story came together although I am realizing that the plotlines always include a trip to the ER and a close call ending. less
