Psychic Eye Mystery
review 1: I enjoyed this, but it definitely didn't feel like an Abby Cooper story. The spy plot was fun, and once again the ending shocked me (I love that I almost never figure out who the killers are in this series) but it might as well have been a random book I picked up off the shelf.Abby's psychic abilities were practically non-existent in this book! Her crew saved her once or twice, but she didn't get any intuitive feelings, didn't figure out when people were lying to her (I still miss the "liar liar, pants on fire" chant) and didn't have the heavy left side/airy right side feeling on anything. It just felt WAY off, as if the author wanted to write a spy novel with a normal heroine and decided to test it out on her Abby fans first. Even though it wasn't a traditional "Abby book... more" I still found it fun, though I hope it gets back to normal on the next one.
review 2: Vision Impossible is book nine in the Psychic Eye series and author V Laurie gets better with each and every book. When I read that Abby and Dutch were to be going undercover as spies in Canada, I was a bit unsure of the whole premise as it was so far removed from any previous plots. However I was happily surprised and pleased with the book. The characters continue to grow and the story was action-packed and quite intense at times. less

I didn't enjoy this one as much. Too much craziness and it felt implausible.

This was a fun book; more of a spy caper than her usual mystery.
