review 1: It's hard to say very much about this story that wont spoil anything, so I'll just say it's about a girl who is forced to make a very important choice between four houses. The story is written in a backwards format, starting in the present and moving to the past. It flowed very well and the author does a great job keeping you guessing while slowly revealing more about the girl and her situation. It's also very thought provoking and causes you to think about what your choice would be in the girl's place. I've thought about it for a while now and I still don't know how I'd ever be able to pick between such extremes. Four Houses was an absolutely amazing book and packs a huge punch for being only 35 pages long and just 99 cents. I'll be trying out more of the author books, fo... morer sure. I can't recommend this story enough. 5/5 stars.
review 2: This short story is 35 pages long. However, these pages pack a punch. It is very hard to talk about this story at all without spoilers, but I will say that it is VERY creepy, and is unusually told from ending to beginning. Maddy goes from one house to another trying to decide if she should stay there or not. In each one of them there is something creepy and/or enticing to make her leaving harder and harder. This story is unlike anything else I’ve read before. It was good, but horrifically so. less

Very creative method of story-telling. But for me, it came off as too abstract.

I usually don't go for short stories, but this sounds way too cool to pass up!
