Adrenaline Search & Rescue
review 1: I was given this book for and honest review by Manic ReadersDevon Leblanc has lusted after his team mate Alisha since search and rescue school. But now he is tired of hiding his lust and is ready to go for it. But now a man from her past is hanging around and team mates are being hospitalized.Alisha Bailey was a poor little rich girl her wanted to make a life for herself on her own and she is happy with the life she has created for herself. She just wishes she could get past lusting after her team mate Devon, last thing she wants is to be another notch in his bedpost. Then her past shows up at her door and her team mates are ending up in the hospital. What else can go wrong before Alisha and Devon find their happy ending? This book is ok, I am kind of bummed because I expec... moreted better from this author. The characters are great and I can really connect with them but the story itself just isn't doing it for me, I find myself looking for something else to read. I have never had this problem with Vivian Arend's work before so writing this review is difficult for me. Cover: I really like this cover it does fit the story. I really love the waterfall in the back ground. The Book Blurb: The blurb is very well written and really hooks you into wanting to read this book.
review 2: I received this book as a First-Reads winner. I loved this book! The characters are great. Alisha is a strong, driven, independent woman who has made a life for herself away from her family and the family business. She loves her job as part of a very tight knit Lifeline search & rescue team. Her team partner, that she also went to SAR school with, is Devon. For years they have been fighting an attraction toward each other. The interaction between the two is steamy, funny, tender, sarcastic, and light-hearted. As they spend more time together through work & training they are having a harder time trying to ignore the attraction. Just as their relationship begins to heat up, someone from Alisha's past shows up to cause trouble. There have also been some things happening with the Lifeline team which only complicate matters. I enjoyed the relationship that developed between the main characters & how they stuck together even through the difficult times. As I expected, this book has SUPER HOT love scenes, tender & a bit naughty! I LOVE Vivian Arend's novels!!! This is certainly a must read! less
