review 1: Received free from Goodreads.OMG!!! Ladies...if you are looking for advice before or during a major change in your life or just looking for a nudge to indulge in some "me time," this book provides practical advice in a fun way. The characters may be fictional but the people and situations encountered are not! These authors have great insight into the trials of working women at any age and from various backgrounds. I swear they must have shadowed my life at some point! Whether you are planning a career change or need a makeover, this book and its website will give you easy to follow self discovery exercises to follow to help you on your way. Let's face it, many of us spend most of our time and energy looking out for others. We need to be able to take care of ourselve... mores and enjoy what we do! Not all of us can have a Fairy Godmother but if I could, I would choose Divinity!
review 2: I received this book from the Goodreads first reads program, and was thrilled to see the author added a note inside. She seems so nice. This book was a breath of fresh air. This woman seems to take herself seriously yet remain humorous about certain situations. When you're reading this you probably will feel like you would love her as your BFF.If you are contemplating a major change in your life, or are just not happy with the way your life is currently going, but have no idea where to start, check this book out. Vivian offers much great advice concerning love, life and career. The advice is given mostly through a story about Morgan. Most women I feel are going to be able to relate in some way with Morgan. She's a very loveable girl. This book was very inspiring and motivational. I am going to reread this often often when I feel the need to. I have my own personal goals, and this book makes me feel as if I could do anything. Thank you! less
