review 1: I really liked this book about post-apocalyptic US (not to reveal too much, but think zombie epidemic) and for many reasons. The book has excellent writing style, a very fun plot (with twists) and - something missing in a few other post-apoc books I read lately - a well-written emotional character development and story.All in all, a fun read that will not just entertain but actually affect you!
review 2: Read it twice. The story itself and the ethical questions it addresses are excellent, however formula the presentation. For fans of gory video games the pacing will be familiar; I am kind of obsessed with Zombies because they are the new hive mind, but few have made me think as much as this one about how we define "us" and "them", "life" and "death", and how w... moree decide with whom our real duty lies. Well worth finding and reading. less
