review 1: It is an OK read. I found some of the pointers rather interesting, and great points I might even apply in my own life. Like, "Don't show off. Impress." Or, "Never criticize a book, play, or film unless you have read or seen it yourself. Art is full of surprises." There are a lot more interesting gems included that are worth knowing. On the other hand, the book is a bit pompous and strange. I mean, who would remember all these and keep up with the rules. Lame. Overall, I don't regret reading it.
review 2: I believe I received this book as part of the Goodreads.com First Reads.I am not sure where this book fits in my collection of books. I enjoyed the slices of wisdom from quotes by H. G. Wells ("Every time I see an adult on a bicycle, I no longer despair for th
... moree future of the human race.") to seemingly dated advice ("Have a pen pal.").I will hang on to the book as I envision that one day I could hand the book down to my future son when he is expecting his first child. less

Not mind blowing but an interesting collection of bucket list items.

I agree with most but not all of these rules. :)
