review 1: Would give this a 3.5. I Read this for book club. I liked the good versus evil battling within us aspect. It was at times thought provoking and at other times ridiculous. I don't know if the detailed description of the make out scenes were needed, but I could see how some description was needed for the development of the character. I think the book got better as it went along and the ending intrigued me enough that I want to read the next one I think the appropriate age would be 14 and up on this one.
review 2: It was a good book but not a great one. I honestly liked the characters a lot! But I went into the book with very high expectations. Now I am very fond of the nephilim/fallen angel books. I say this because of reading The Hush Hush saga and The Mortal ... moreInstruments series. But this book just couldn't match up to them in some of the ways I hoped it would. Like for the an example it wasn't all fast paced. I expected it to be very fast paced because of the description but it sadly didn't live up to the expectation. And second the main character was very whiny. Now don't get me wrong I loved Anna Whitt a lot! But that was just one of the things that got be annoyed about the book. I would recommend this book for those who loved the Mortal Instruments series. And those who loved the Percy Jackson series. less
