review 1: I really enjoyed The House on Mermaid Point, just like the other "beach" books. It's nice to see what's happened to each of the characters since the last book. I'm just sorry that I didn't know about "Christmas at the Beach", which seems to take place before this book. Wendy Wax is funny and so enjoyable to read. I actually laugh out loud while reading! I don't know if she's planning another book in this series, but I think she can really get a lot of mileage out of these women, and the men that come into their lives. But, as one of the other readers said, start with Ten Beach Road first.
review 2: One of the things that I liked about this book was that a woman over 50 had a romance and sex! That does not happen often in books. This is the third book with
... more these characters, but they aren't called a series! Maddie, Kyra, Avery, Desiree and Nikki and toddler Dustin go to the Florida Keys to re-hab a house for a famous person for their TV show called Do Over. They won't know any info until they get there. It's a famous southern rocker named Wild William Hightower. He has recently come out of rehab again and his son arranged for the show to make over his property into a B and B. The ladies work very hard and get the job done. A few things go wrong and they get messed about by the network and the producer. One falls in for the rocker. less
